Mixing mud tank is designed for on site drilling mud mixing with mixing pump, mixing hopper, pipeline arrangement as well as mud tank. There are very different designs depending on mud tank storage capacity, mixing speed capacity, tank design type. AIPU build mixing tank from 4m long type to 15m long type depends on customized request. It is normally including mud storage tank, mixing centrifugal pump, venturi mixing hopper, mud mixing agitator for storage tank, electrical control panel for motors, etc.

Mixing Mud Tank Design Features

1.       Mixing suction will be able to suction every clean mud tank by pipeline arrangement and butterfly valves.

2.       Mixing pump size selection will be depending on mixing speed requirement, one or two centrifugal pump will be installed to pumping water or mud into mixing hopper for mixing application. The second pump can be working as a spare.

3.       Mixing hopper size selection will be depending on mixing speed and pump connection requirement. The mixing hopper will install 3 sets butterfly valve to control.

4.       The mud tank size selection will be depending on mud storage capacity and jobsite space limit as well as client mixing habit. It can be square, round, or any other design shape which can be customized.

5.       Fast moving design is more popular to make all tank fixed without disassemble while transport. Difference countries may limit different size of transport dimension, 40 feet tank size with handrails within 3 meters high is good for majority regions.

Other than mixing mud tank, AIPU build different mud tank like shaker tank, active tank, intermediate tank, suction tank, trip tank or pill tank with pipeline and equipment arrangement. Or mixing equipment can be supplied only if client build tank themselves.
