Mud transfer pump is designed to transfer drilling mud from a place to another at a designed mud flow capacity. Depending on where the pump lay one, it can be vertical or horizontal pump, centrifugal or submersible slurry pump. Centrifugal Pump for Mud Transfer

Centrifugal pump can be vertical or horizontal for different installation, the horizontal centrifugal pump is more popular on drilling site. The horizontal centrifugal pump is combined with electrical motor, pump head, coupler and pump skid. The pump model is made as per inlet and outlet size, 8×6 pump will match 55kw or 75kw motor depending on impeller size and mud condition, 6×5 pump will make 30kw, 37kw or 45kw motor, 4×3 pump will match 11kw, 18.5kw or 22kw motor. The impeller size normally from 9 inch to 14 inch depending on pump housing size and matching motor size and mud conditions. The impeller will install into pump housing by screw or key board for option.

Submersible Slurry Pump for Mud Transfer

Submersible slurry pump is zero maintenance without replace spare parts regularly. It is vertical pump, so it’s well used in mud pit. The motor and main parts install on top of fluids make pump easy maintenance. The impeller will require replacement about a year or a year and a half. The depths of pump under fluids can be customized from 700mm to 1500mm, 1300mm depth is the standard without special requirement.
