Brief introduction for mud gun

The mud gun also can be called mud mixing gun. It is installed in a mud tank. As we know it is usually used along with mud agitator as mixers for oil rig.

The structure of drilling mud gun is simple, flexible operation and easy to use. It is designed and manufactured for different drilling mud solids control systems, has such three types as low pressure, medium pressure and high pressure. It is mainly matched to sand pump and mud pump, and also can match to shear pump. It is the special equipment used to clean the wall tube and prevent mud sediment in the mud tank. It is the ideal equipment to prevent mud sediment, with good performance, large cleaning area, more thorough cleaning effect, simpler structure, flexible and easy operation, etc.

Mud gun application

Research shows that the effective depth of mud gun is only 1.5~2.7m, the size is related with drilling fluid density, viscosity and nozzle speed. In using process, we should pay attention to mud gun nozzle cleaning, prevent mud nozzle blockage, and pay attention to mud gun valve adjustment, according to the density of the mud to adjust the valve size.

In drilling fluid solids control system, only use drilling mud gun is not enough for stirring, we also need mud agitator, but for the dead angle of mud tank, it is indispensable equipment.

Aipu NJQ series mud gun parameter

NJQ50 holds 2” diameter, and 2” valve can be butterfly or gate valve, then the connector size should be also 2”. The pressure can be normal pressure (0.6Mpa) or high pressure(1.6Mpa), the nozzle number will be customized as 3 or 1. And there will be rotation angle by manual rotation.

There is another common type NJQ80. Almost same with above one just the diameter, valve, connector, etc. dimension will be 3”.
