How to use drilling mud cleaner properly?

Usually drilling mud cleaner separates the solids particle from drilling fluids that has been processed by the shale shaker. Its  purpose is to reduce useless solid content in slurry, maintain the good performance of mud, and reduce the emissions of waste pulp, thus saving the pulping water and pulp material. Mud cleaner can effectively control solid content of weighted drilling fluid. In the operation of mud cleaner, we must have a complete and reasonable use of technology, now, Aipu solids control will give you some several points about how to use and operate drilling mud cleaner correctly.

How to use mud cleaner?

  1. Some preparations before starting

1) Check the fastening cover and all the fixed part.

2) Check whether the pipeline fixed, each row of the sand mouth was clear;

3) Check the wear condition of drilling fluid shale shaker screen, replace when it is necessary.

4) Dial eccentric shaft by hand for a week, should be flexible shine.

  1. First start drilling fluid shale shaker, then start drilling sand pump.
  2. Through the gate to adjust working pressure (drilling fluid desander: 0.2-0.35 MPa, desilter: 0.32 MPa).
  3. Stop drilling sand pump, open the channel backflow mouth, river mouths, prevent mud loss.

Mud cleaner maintenance

  1. Clean the vortex tube after the usage and remove the bottom block sand;
  2. Cleaning sieve and timely replacement of the damaged screen;
  3. The eccentric shaft bearing lubrication and maintenance once a week;

With the development of drilling technology, the higher requirement for solids control equipment is proposed. In addition, many customers inquires us about how to use mud cleaner correctly. Knowing how to use mud cleaner reasonably can not only improve working efficiency but also save cost. As to promote the use of solids control equipment, Aipu solids control will continue to focus on mud cleaner design, producing to meet customer’s different requirement.
